Self-Love is often seen as a form of selfishness. In fact, when we really love ourselves, as much as possible we will avoid things that can harm ourselves and others. because ourselves are the first to accept all shortcomings and strengths. So by accepting it all we will be able to love ourselves completely.

Self-Love will make us appreciate ourselves wisely, creatively, and lovingly, it will make us feel open, empathetic with others. While selfishness leads to a sense of not caring about other people.

Self-love is one of the best things we can give to ourselves. When we fall in love with ourselves, we will find it easier to recognize and respect ourselves, believe in our abilities, and will generally make us more positive. We will no longer compare ourselves with others, nor will we worry about the negative comments of others anymore.

To be able to do it all, it takes practice and can accept the past as a part of our lives. And indeed, this is not something easy to do. However, we can start in a few ways:
1. Be grateful for what is within yourself
2. Stop overthinking
3. Forgive the past
4. Dare to say "No"
5. Stop comparing yourself to others
6. Appreciate yourself

So, self-love is an obligation not selfishness. As long as we don't love ourselves too much that make us does no matter to the environment, then that is true self-love.
