Maraknya Kasus TNI Gadungan, Mabes TNI AL Angkat Bicara

Jakarta, nusantaranews.com — Lately there have been cases of fraud by pretending to be members of the Navy (fake), this of course harms the Navy in particular, and the TNI in general. Responding to this incident, Head of the Naval Information Service (Kadispenal) First Admiral TNI Julius Widjojono, spoke on Monday (27/02) at Mabesal, Cilangkap, Jakarta.

According to the Kadispenal, in the past month, the Indonesian Navy has twice received reports of people being harmed by the actions of the fake TNI and this is very troubling. Furthermore, according to Laksma Julius, "Fake TNI" often resorted to fraud against women and were promised to marry, even losing up to hundreds of millions of rupiahs, of course this must be a concern.

"The public must know that if members of the TNI are going to get married they must first get permission from their unit, with a predetermined procedure. In fact, prospective women have to carry out administrative processes starting from their residential address to the Unit where the prospective husband's personnel serve," said the Kadispenal.

The Fake TNI, is a person who takes advantage of symbolic opportunities to gain respect from the community, especially now that social media opens opportunities for people to interact with one another easily and quickly.

"Therefore, we urge the public to be more careful when they just get to know someone, make sure and really recognize the person they just met first, especially since the person is just getting to know them on social media," said Rear Admiral TNI Julius.

As is known, even in the space of one month there have been two reports regarding cases of "fake TNI". At the end of January, the public was enlivened by the arrest of a resident named Misbachul Munir who claimed to hold the rank of First Admiral of the Indonesian National Armed Forces. He even did not hesitate to make TikTok content using the attributes of the Indonesian Navy.

On February 23, 2023, the Indonesian Navy again detained a resident named Eko Wahyudi, in Rawa Badak, North Jakarta. He admitted that a member of the Indonesian Navy with the rank of Marine Captain committed fraud against two women who were promised to be married.

In response to this, in a separate place the Chief of Naval Staff (Kasal) Admiral TNI Muhammad Ali emphasized to all Jalasena soldiers, wherever they are and on duty they must adhere to the Sapta Marga, Soldier's Oath, and Trisila TNI AL.
"Never harm the people, never frighten and hurt the hearts of the people wherever they are, Jalasena soldiers must benefit the community," said Kasal. (Dispenal)
