N3 Payakumbuh - In order to
preserve the traditional sport of Hunting Dog Race especially in Payakumbuh and
Limapuluh Kota. Karang Taruna Anak Nagari (Youth Organisation) Tiaka held Hunting
Dog Race.
Competition that was being held
from the date of 7 to 16 September 2017 is held in the harvested ricefield Nio
Titian Konsen which is eventually used for Bull Race as the annually event
calendar of tourism of Payakumbuh City. Hundreds of participants from various
parts of Payakumbuh and Limapuluh Kota come to register their flagship dog in
this race.
Fetrianto, a local youth organisation
member said, the purpose of this event is to train the dogs to know with the
object of hunting that is wild boar. In addition to improving the ability of
dogs to hunt in the real hunting arena.
In this dog race race there are
two categories of the dog namely crossbreed dog race and mongrel race
with a distance of 200 meters to 300 meters.
Anggi (19) from Ibuah - one participant who was very enthusiastic about this event came to the race together with his friends."Some dogs that I have not well trained yet, so I enroll them to see how far they could go", he
