N3, Jatim ~ President Joko Widodo during his working visit to Gresik this afternoon, Friday, March 9, 2018, he inaugurated the development of Java Integrated Industrial and Ports Estate (JIIPE). JIIPE is a concept of merging industrial parks, ports, and settlements that are integrated with each other.
In his speech, President Jokowi claimed to be interested in the concept of this territory. It is located in Manyar, Kabupaten Gresik, East Java provides some facilities and access from the port area to the factory and industrial areas.
"Why I am happy with this territory? This is an integrated area, there are ports, industrial areas, also power plant for electricity and harbor," said the President.
According to him, an integrated industrial area such as JIIPE needs to be expanded so that more job fields are open. The President also revealed that in his operation, JIIPE is working with small business persons as well as boarding school's environment.
"I appreciate that JIIPE is also working with boarding school, I do appreciate it. the way its cooperating like JIIPE can be imitated," he said.
JIIPE consists of a 400-hectares harbor, an industrial estate of 1,761 hectares and a residential area of 800 hectares is expected to continue to work with small businesses to push the economy.
I asks for the industrial estate to invite UKM to work together. Do not let yourself big, small ones felldown. This is the Pancasila economy's principle which are we develop. It does not get incur losses to work together with small and medium ones, "he said.
In addition, he advised the goverments improving the licensing process that is still considered to be convoluted. Since that he repeatedly said that the key to push Indonesia's economy is to increase exports and encourage investment into Indonesia.
"What has become our weakness must be improving like giving licensing which is take a long time. The investment opens the widest possible field of work, and if it takes too long time for giving licencing, who wants to open a factory in Indonesia?" he said.
