President hopes the Intensive Work Programs can Improve the Economic of rural community


N3, Kalsel ~ President Joko Widodo hopes the Intensive Work Programs of Ministries can improve the economy of rural communities. According to him, if the circulation of money in the rural will be
 increase,  so the consumption and purchasing power of the community too.

"This is still the beginning, most of it is in the Ministry of Public Works and in the Ministry of Village.This is only the first stage so it is still not much, then the other ministry yet. I checked the Ministry of BUMN yesterday, and it is still just starting and Kemenhub also just started , "said President during a direct review of intensive work program in the village of Pematang Panjang, Sungai Tabuk Subdistrict, Banjar District, on Monday, March 26, 2018.

The president said that Intensive Work  Programs have many benefits. There are at least two things which are being target, the first is infrastructure development. Second, the communities 's economy increases.

"Not for infrastructure only but also for many things. So if this is what we look at in the infrastructure for road production and once again, we expect the circulation of money in the village will be increase so that the purchasing power and consumption are also increasing too," he said. 

In Intensive work programs in Pematang Panjang Village, there is increasing or hardening of neighborhood roads or residents' roads. The roads built according to the President will be prioritized for production roads in villages, inter-village roads, roads leading. to rice fields, and irrigation for rice fields.

I think the things that are productive, also productive infrastructure. The point is we want to improve the production roads to the farm, to the village to be more better, "he continued.

The 398 meters long and 3 meters wide road has a project value of Rp115,919,200 and is done by self-managed method. The work is expected to last for 15 days by absorbing 30 workers.

Presiden was accompanying with Moeldoko Presidential Chief of Staff and South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor.

After completing the Intensive  Work Programs, President and her wife Iriana Joko Widodo returned to Jakarta using the Presidential Aircraft RJ-85 through Syamsuddin Noor Air Force Base, Banjarbaru City, South Kalimantan Province.

Accompanying President and Mrs. Iriana on the flight to Jakarta, among others the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning / Sofyan Djalil, Moeldoko Presidential Chief of Staff, Head of Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono, Special Staff of President Johan Budi, Military Secretary of President Marsda TNI Trisno Hendradi and Commander of Paspampres Maj. Gen. TNI (Mar) Suhartono.
